The wind commands my direction.

When life seems to come to an abrupt stop, we sometimes wonder where we went wrong.

The reason for my move is yet to be discovered and maybe this is where I will find a deeper definition in life.

So redirect to Macbeth's Three Witches...

Isn't life adorable?

Quote of the Day: Tact is the knack of making a point without making an enemy.

23 August 2009, Sunday- If there is one thing in this world that I can never stand, its irresponsibility.

Living in Australia has taught me many things that I was once unclear about. A very clear example is, boys are not worth your time. Ahem! However, they are, after you have graduated from high school.

The second thing is that, sharing a room with an inconsiderate person is like living with a diabolical idiot. It is a pleasure to have that person gone!

The third and foremost is, you discover true friends. Those friends back home that I once had, they seem to have gone into hiding. Let me re-phrase my sentence. Please don't expect anything from me because you yourself know, you don't deserve it! Unless, you are confident that I said, 'I am going to get you chocolates'.

My ranting has reached its climax. I wonder whether I should get some sorbet to chill off the heat?

Dorothy

p.s. I'm off for a run on the treadmill, the above 'mango' statement was just one of my exit lines. So much for ideas!

Room 14, West Wing.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: A smooth sea never made a skilled mariner.

17 June 2009, Wednesday- School is coming to an end, more like a break. Another 10 more days and I am back home in Malaysia. The thought of it makes me go hyper-reactive. But before that, work experience is starting next Monday. Oh, I just can't wait! I am going to be working at a LAW firm. I definitely need to plan my dresscode in advance during the weekends.

Before I forget, I have changed rooms. Room 14, West Wing. It's going to be my room for the whole of Term 3. It's a pretty cosy room but due to the fact that I have minimal amount of things, it looks empty. I like less stuff. Yes, I am rooming alone till end of term because my roomy ditched me. Instead of coming back to school after Marshmead, she went back to Tasmania and if I ain't wrong, she's already there enjoying life.

Stay tuned for picnic pics!

My simple study table. No luxury.

My bed with 'bao bei' on top and my painting of Toto above. I only have one small wardrobe and a small locker/bedside table. Yes, unfortunately, its very 'plain Jane'.

p.s. I demand for SATURDAY :)

House Swimming Carnival 2009

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Take time to laugh - it is the music of the soul.

15 June 2009, Monday- As all of you might have known now that SWINE FLU is dominating the stats in Australia, especially Melbourne. Right, it is rather scary as people die from it but honestly it's not that big a deal. It's actually got more to do with taking precaution and being hygienic. Well, just yesterday, I went to the pharmacy to buy two protective masks and a sanitizer. It cost me $4.00 for one mask and even the pharmacist says it's selling like hot cakes. At least the sanitizer made me feel 'cool', I mean the feeling of something cold and refreshing on your hand. Nice!

Oh, btw it was House Swimming Carnival today. No, I did not participate. This is due to the fact that I have deserted the swimming pool for a good two years and I do not wish to get wet. In other words, I do not want to end up looking like a fool in the pool.

Unfortunately, I found some amusements such as camwhoring, reading and eating 'mochi'. It is still very boring. After all, all we did was watch people swim and swim and swim but of course there were different styles and diving too.

By the time we were done, it was already 2.15pm. So we decided to hit the city. Our curfew was at 4.45pm. Plenty of time to spare, thank the good public transport of Australia. On that part, I'll share my 'experience' another day as its way out of the topic.

Dorothy

p.s. I'm changing rooms tomorrow. This is so dreadful. I'm going to sleep alone for 12 days.

TONY BIANCO :)

QUOTE OF THE DAY: It is more important to know where you are going than to get there quickly.

9 June 2009, Tuesday-EXAM WEEK has touched-down!! Yes, I know I should be studying and not blogging but my fingers really itch for typing. As for today, my English paper was okay. I am aiming for at least a B or maybe a C. This sounds really weird but it is impossible for me to score an A in English, especially in Australia. The standard is high and is it HARD. The exam lasted for about an hour and forty-five minutes. Not very long but still I managed to finish my paper 15 minutes early whlich gives me the chance to proof-read.

Did I mention I went down to Glenferrie Road to get some snacks from Asian Market? I got my spare batteries for my calculator too. Plus, I just made a good purchase on a pair of 4 inch heels by Tony Bianco. It's so pretty to me and it has a very creamy brown shade of leather. Irrestible!

I so love today :)

p.s. It cold outside. The weather needs to go for a suntan.

The Sky is Cold.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Knowing without doing is like plowing without sowing.

7 June 2009, Sunday-My enthusiasism to wake up early today was overwhelming.

To get to Camberwell Market from MLC is so near and easy. Plus, the train station is quite near...'quite' in a sense if you have been living here for half a year and walking is an essential skill. By just taking a 15 minutes walk to Glenferrie Train Station, buy a Sunday Saver at $3.10, you can go anywhere. Not to mention, Camberwell Station is only two stops away. Now back to Camberwell Market.

Yes, I did spend. Yes, I did find lots of nice stuff. Yes, it was cold.

Unfortunately I burned a huge hole in my allowance/savings pocket. Oops! Pardon me,... I am a girl right? Girls like to enjoy. And one thing that girls cannot resist is shopping. But I was afterall a good girl. I came back after three hours of shopping. Only to find out my roomies are all geared up to go to the city. Rituals are rituals but the essential mood fixer before going out is to take pictures. Lots of em'!

Dorothy

p.s. It's raining outside. Wet stuff.

Monday, 1 June 2009

Restart.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: You're never a loser until you quit trying.

1 June 2009, Monday- Winter is just around the corner...I have been studying as per usual, nothing special. Plain ol' boring Dorothy! My roomies are awesome. FULLSTOP. We laugh like 'nutcases' till the middle of the night and get feedbacks from our friends from the other end of the corridor. Imagine hearing loud giggles, screams, squeaks and all sorts of sounds coming from a room. Its JUNGLE MANIA!!

Its coming to the end of Term 2. Thank God tasks, assesments and tests are slowing down but EXAMS ARE NEXT WEEK! I am suprisingly rather excited for it to come tho. Weird. There's something about exams here that really appeal to me compared to Malaysia. Over here, I only need to sit for the subjects I am currently studying; Science, Maths, Chinese B and English. Other subjects which are not main subjects are based on assesments and tasks. Oh lucky me! And to my suprise, if on that day my paper is not due, I need NOT go to school.

The best thing is after next Thursday, I have Friday OFF and the weekends. My roomies and I are planning to go for a picnic in the city park. Nice :)

Love,
Dorothy

p.s. Did I mention I don't have school on Friday and next Monday?
